Family Therapy
Family therapy is a service that may be offered as part of a patients’ individual (child, adolescent, adult) treatment.
Family therapy is a service used when the focus of treatment is geared towards addressing the family as a unit. When participating in family therapy, all identified family members attend sessions with the therapist to collaboratively work toward the collective goals.

A family therapy model allows for each member to not only understand their role within the family, but how to use their role for bringing about change in the overall family dynamics. Family members work with their therapist to learn how their behaviors, mindsets, communication patterns, and roles contribute to family conflict. While each treatment for a family is highly individualized, family therapy may include talk, play, behavioral exercises, and assigned tasks to promote encouragement, nurturance, structure, understanding, and change.
