Meet Mitzy D. Ruelas
M.S. AMFT, 131034
Welcome!

I’m a bilingual associate marriage and family therapist passionate about helping adults reconnect with their felt sense of security and safety. My goal is to provide a space where you can explore how you experience your life and whether it’s in alignment with you.

I primarily support individuals who have lost trust in themselves due to traumatic experiences, adversity, and significant life events. Traumatic experiences and adversity often manifest as anxiety, inner child wounds, attachment issues, relationship problems, depression, low self-esteem, codependency, emotional outbursts, and avoidance.

I use an integrative, trauma-informed, and culturally centered approach to foster empowerment, safety, and authenticity, honoring the mind-body connection. In therapy, I incorporate liberation psychology, relational trauma, attachment theory, somatic experiencing, humor, metaphors (sometimes too many) and personalismo.

It takes audacity and courage to begin your healing journey. So if you have it or, if you’re looking for it, I invite you to take the leap!

I offer a free 15 minute virtual consultation to help determine if we’re the right fit for your journey. I accept Aetna, Cigna, Magellan, Sharp, Optum, United Healthcare, private pay, and offer sliding scale options.
